Abstract

Undoubtedly a region that is composed of cultural traditions molded through the history of hundreds of thousands of years, has much to tell and share to the rest of society, the cultural framework that is part of the human genetics of the communities settled in the border region, makes these that become a treasure, a true cultural heritage, which nurtures community traditions in a diversity of customs and traditions that border the boundary between the diverse and the imaginary; Aspects such as: Agriculture, Weaving, painting, sculpture, music, dance, art among others; They are visualized in the depth of their essence and materialized in Carnival celebrations, religious, gastronomic, musical and traditional, such as the multicolored Carnival of the border, the Ipiales Festival, the cradle of great trios, the Fortnight of the Virgin of Las Lajas, the Inti Raymi. This shows the value of people, their
knowledge and desires, mixed with the natural beauty of the territory is able to produce the deepest feelings of gratitude for the maintenance of life, it is then worthy and pleasant to show these riches to the people who wish so. Tourism becomes a fundamental tool for the promotion of the beauties and knowledge of this region, the community of the border region as a key factor in its development and logically in the construction of the economic model based on collective benefit, the continuity of the good traditions and the protection of the
natural environment.
