Abstract

The objective of this research was to evaluate the direct teaching model on the institutional platform Virtual Solution for xylophone learning among second-year basic education students at the educational institution "Sagrado Corazón de Jesús". The methodology employed was quantitative, collecting data through surveys and questionnaires applied to 80 students and 7 teachers, complemented by direct observations during teaching sessions. The didactic approach included the use of the Virtual Solution platform as an interactive pedagogical tool that facilitated the teaching process through guided activities, immediate feedback, and the use of multimedia resources. The main results show a significant improvement in students' musical skills, as well as an increase in their motivation and active participation in activities. This confirms previous research highlighting the importance of appropriate instructional design and the use of relevant didactic resources in the educational process. It is concluded that the implementation of the direct instruction model was effective for xylophone learning, suggesting its application in similar educational contexts.
