Logistics 4.0 and its application in hotels in the city of Tulcán, province of Carchi

Abstract

Tourist accommodation establishments play a very important role in society since they provide accommodation services and logistics is present in each of the steps to provide an excellent service based on the use of technology. This scientific article is developed with the aim of analyzing logistics 4.0 in hotels in the city of Tulcán. A methodology with a quantitative approach was chosen. The instruments used are: a survey based on logistics 4.0 applications, which includes the use of operational management technology, connectivity technology, mobility technology and customer relationship technology. A sample of 10 accommodation hotels was shown. Through them, an analysis of logistics 4.0 in the city's hotels was carried out. The results of the research reveal that the identification of the establishments in which logistics 4.0 is applied is very important since they help optimize management in establishments such as hotels with the use of technology, in addition to providing statistical data that are important for decision making.
