The purpose of this research is to know the socio-economic reality of border integration zones, establishing as a reference to the borders because are spaces in which one more Nations. They have a strong dynamic for the conflicting relations between populations on each side. For this reason, in order to understand the dynamics of an area as complex as the border between Ecuador and Colombia in a more comprehensive form, specifically Ipiales and Tulcan. We analyze the Andean regulations and the border asymmetries, taking as reference the impact of the economy, legislation and public policies on the inhabitants of both countries.
