Abstract

Since the end of the 20th century, the development of science and technology has experienced an exponential growth with advances in all areas of knowledge whose final purpose, at least in theory, has been to make life easier for each human being as they pass through this planet. There have been very important advances in communications, health, information technology, transportation, among others, which have been able to produce strong impacts on society, affecting lifestyles, values, power relations, etc., including , can lead to a total transformation of society in short times, or what is worse, although it is a pessimistic scenario, its own destruction. In terms of Agazzi (1996) "In the technological civilization that we live, technology is a network that embraces the most diverse sectors of human activity, a way of living, of communicating, of thinking, a set of conditions by which man it is dominated widely, much more than having them at your disposal "(p.141). This work aims to reflect on the impact of technological development in society and ways to face these new scenarios seen from a new perspective that is bioethics, understood as a dynamic element that aims to provide solutions to the major problems present and future of humanity. Bioethics was born as an alternative of thought with proposals that favor the harmonious coexistence of people and nature; That is why the epistemological extension of bioethics to all life processes is of paramount importance in order to help build the path through which science and technology must go for the benefit of a better life for society and its projection. to the future.
